ANÁLISE COMPARATIVA DE PARÂMETROS INDICADORES DO ESTADO DE ESTRESSE EM EQUINOS CRIADOS EM SISTEMA EXTENSIVO E INTENSIVO

Resumo


A equinocultura vem se destacando cada vez mais principalmente com relação a atividades esportivas, culturais e profissionais. Porém o espaço destinado a criação destes animais tem se tornado cada vez mais reduzido muitas vezes com isolamento e privação de contato social, fato este, que é oposto a natureza dos equinos, predispondo-os assim a ocorrência de alterações de saúde e comportamentais e interferindo no bem-estar animal. Este trabalho teve por objetivo avaliar parâmetros indicadores de estresse nos equinos pertencentes ao Regimento de Polícia Montada Nove de Julho – destacamento da cidade de Marília/SP, criados em sistema intensivo e compará-los com animais de sistema de criação extensivo da Universidade de Marília – Fazenda Experimental “Marcelo Mesquita Serva.
